  abstract      = {The paper submitted describes work, carried out at Zak3ad Systemów Informacyjnych Zarz1dzania, concerning virtual organizations. It is our view, that virtual organization problems are of a crucial importance to the  theory and practice of  management sciences. We strongly believe that an information system can define a virtual organization in business practice. Seeing organization systems virtual, one can consider them as a flexible and easily adaptive structure. At the beginning of the paper we discuss issues connected with several working definitions of virtual systems The second part contains  hypothetical grounds of the possible competitive advantage for virtual organization companies. The last part describes possible boundaries of virtual organizations.  }
