  abstract      = {The paper deals with the principal methods of data mining. The methods described are of statistical and non- statistical nature. They comprise evaluation of information utility, frequency of data usage and statistical properties of data. Some peculiarities of Management Information Systems are described and the role of data mining vs. traditional elicitation is described. The paper has an overview character presenting current tendencies in application of data mining in management.}
