  abstract      = {The paper describes an approach to application clustering which extends from a simple client-server model. It is implemented in a COM-based middleware product. Two goals are pursued: improved fault-tolerance and increased availability of server applications. Clusters in the model are self-organizing, non-centric, with one and only primary server kept. Packets are dispatched by the client itself, thus abolishing cluster controller as a "bottleneck" node.}
