  abstract      = {E-learning is not yet a common scenario in logistics education – neither in an academic nor company setting. One reason for this might be seen in the unstructured access to those materials offered to interested individuals or organizations and missing support in finding and selecting the most appropriate offers according to personal or company learning needs. This paper presents a learning process personalizing, integrating infrastructure that will be manifested as a set of intelligent engines – the Logistics Knowledge Portal. The infrastructure will be available on the Internet as a resource for developing a personalized learning path for employees, students and other interested bodies, based on the in-depth understanding of learning needs and goals, and managed under a classification method for learners and categorization method for all available technology-based learning material. The idea is applied to improve a person’s individual competence in logistics planning by adopting fundamental principles of problem solving theory and suitable knowledge management methods.}
