  abstract      = {The most diffuse applications that use systems based on KDD are oriented to the financial and to the marketing fields. However, KDD can be used succesfully, also, in other fields such as the monitoring of the territory: in fact, the knowledge extracted could be used by institutions involved to planning monitoring activities. In this paper we have illustrated a case study of Visual Data Mining and the results concerning the interest of the Calabria territory units called comuni in information tecnology services.}
