  abstract      = {In the paper a genre-based, participatory method for content analysis is described. The method was elabo-rated in the case study conducted for a church where analysis of content units within a set of genres was needed. The experiences imply that the genre-based method could be applied for scrutinizing the content within small and medium sized enterprises. Benefits of the method include user participation techniques, and the use of genre theory. The theory allows the study of the content without using technological jargon or with-out focusing on existing technologies.}
