  abstract      = {The paper introduces a solution to the issue of integrating XML data formed with a semistructured model with a data grid architecture and presenting their contents as a purely object-oriented business model. Authors present a continuation of works presented in [Kuliberda 2005] concerning object-to-relational wrapper (for SQL). Current works cover a generic integration procedure of utilizing a native XML Lorel query mechanism for retrieving data from XML data stores (Lore is regarded as a test component of the designed system). Authors describe a generic wrapper constructed with the stack-based approach (SBA) and updatable views concepts. The proposed architecture sustains grid s transparency and allows a grid user to operate in an object-oriented environment with SBQL –  the stack-based query language. The power of the described wrapper is a possibility of employment of native XML Lorel (Lore DBMS language for semistructured data) optimization mechanisms (what is a core of our generic approach to the problem). A query entering the front-end of the wrapper (object-oriented business model) can be transformed and rewritten according to the powerful SBQL optimization rules incorporated in the wrapper and then evaluated in the native resource environment where appropriate XML Lorel Query Language apply. The paper contains a description of the wrapper and its place in the grid architecture with a query optimization and integration procedure and an example of such a process.}
