  abstract      = {With the increase of bandwidth of the Internet and computing power of client machines as well as with the rise of the Web 2.0 Rich Internet Application become more and more popular. On the other side powerful server-side business rules engines appeared over the last years put enterprises into a position to describe their business policies declaratively as business rules. This paper addresses the problem of how to combine the business rules approach with Rich Internet Applications by lifting the presentation logic to the client. In this paper we present a system which is able to process event condition action rules directly on the client. The proposed architecture follows the model driven architecture approach as it derives the concrete platform specific implementation form the declaratively described event condition action rules forming the abstract platform independent model. Furthermore a prototypical implementation of our approach is given showing the applicability of client-side rule execution for Rich Internet Applications.}
