    |  Abstract An Analysis for Understanding Practical and Future
Challenges to IT Education - Abstract Many, if not most of us who are
called upon to teach information technology (IT) bring to the classroom a
set of assumptions about both IT and education. However, the reality of IT
education is complex. IT Education issues are multidimensional and within
this framework, balanced. This paper proposes a framework by which to
place current and future IT education issues. The framework is built along
the easy to understand dimensions of “Who”, “What”, “Where”,
“When”, “Why”, and “How”. The paper begins by defining and
explaining these dimensions. It then shows how they will be used in a line
      of exploratory research.
