UCCS sits at 6000 feet above sea level, and Pikes Peak's
elevation is 14,110 feet. Contrary to popular belief, your body does not
suffer from a lack of oxygen at increased elevation; it is adjusting to
decreased barometric pressure. The percentage of oxygen in the air remains
at a stable 21% no matter what elevation.
