Conference theme:
Future Internet Business Services
It is our pleasure to invite you to submit your work to BIS2010 conference. The BIS conference is by now a well-respected event joining international researchers to discuss the wide range of the development, implementation, application and improvement of business applications and systems. It is addressed to the scientific community, people involved in the development of business computer applications, consultants helping to properly implement computer technology and applications in the industry.
Although the trend is to fund research towards technical infrastructure/aspects, we propose to focus on business parts and foremost the applications.
A number of new initiatives are already underway to address the challenges related to explosive development of Internet applications and one of the most visible is the Future Internet initiative. In this spirit the main theme of the Conference in 2010 was defined as "Future Internet Business Services". Although many people announced that SOA is dead there is undoubtedly a strong need for service-orientation. Thus, the theme is a reflection of the observed service-orientation in systems development as well as in application execution. Soon, every piece of software will be written with an intention to offer it over the web. Therefore, a new paradigm is emerging called Internet of Services. The conference will focus on services used by enterprises and their economical efficiency, hence "Business" in the theme, and will investigate forthcoming innovative solutions, hence "Future".
